| Elephant man:
London, 1884. The surgeon Frederick Treves discovers a man completely disfigured and deformed, become a fairground attraction. John Merrick, "the monster", takes its name Elephant Man of the tragic accident suffered by his mother. Then a few months pregnant, she was overwhelmed by an elephant. Impressed by such deformities, Dr. Treves buys Merrick, tearing and the violence of its owner, and the daily humiliation of being put on the spot. The surgeon believes that "the monster" is an idiot.
